When using Delacon's Salesforce integration, there are two Real-Time Integration options available; Live and Live (Lead Only).
Live
When the live option is selected Delacon will actively check within your Salesforce account to see if a contact record with the callers phone number already exists. If there is a pre-existing record, an activity will be created under the contact with the details of the call. If no record for the callers phone number exists, a lead will be created within your Salesforce account which can then be updated with the callers details and converted into a contact.
The matching process follows below hierarchy:
-> Check for matching record on Account level
-> if no match found, check on Contact level
-> if no match found, check on lead level
-> if no match found, create new lead.
This option is suitable when your requirement is to only create a lead when new customer calls your business, and will avoid creating duplicate leads for existing customers.
Live (Lead Only)
This option will not check within your Salesforce account for the callers phone number and will instead create a new lead for every inbound call to your Delacon number, even if there is an existing contact record.
This option will create more duplicate leads which will need to be manually managed, but will give you greater control and visibility over the incoming calls within your Salesforce account.
