If you have an existing Google Account
First, go to the Google Account Page: https://www.google.com/account/about/
Sign in with your Google account via “Go to Google Account” button. Please input your username and password.
You will now be able to log in to your chosen Google services.
Creating a new Google account
There are two ways of creating a new Google account:
- Creating an entirely new account, including a new Gmail email address
- Creating an account using your existing email address
Creating an entirely new account, including a new Gmail email address
- Go to the Google Account Page: https://www.google.com/account/about/
- Click the “Create an account” link.
- Please register your personal information, including your chosen username, which will become your Gmail address. You should also define your password at this point.
- You will be offered the opportunity to enter a telephone number or recovery email address. It is recommended that you provide at least one of these. Providing both with give you increased account security, and more options for recovering your account in the event that you lose your password.
Follow the instructions provided to you to verify your telephone number and recovery email address. Once they have been verified, you will have a Google account and new Gmail address using the details you provided.
Creating an account using your existing email address
- Go to the Google Account Page: https://www.google.com/account/about/
- Click the “Create an account” link.
- Click "Use my current email address instead"
- Fill in your personal details, including your existing email address
- Google will send a code to your nominated email address. Input this code when asked.
Complete the rest of the sign-up process as described above, and you will have a Google account linked to your existing email address. You will then be able to sign in to Google services using this address.
