Introduction
Geo-routing allows for calls to be routed based on the geo-location of the caller. This will be based on the telephone exchanges the call is routed through for calls from landlines as well as mobile towers for calls from mobiles.
Delacon's geo-routing solution allows for routing on state, area and exchange level. You can contact the Delacon Support team at support@delaconcorp.com for a detailed list of possible routing areas.
The most common geo-routing setup is State-based Routing where calls are routed based on the borders of the states and territories of Australia.
Restrictions
Automated geo-routing is currently only available for Australian 1300/1800/13 numbers.
For other countries or number types, please review alternatives such as postcode routing.
Charges
This feature may attract additional charges for the setup and ongoing maintenance. Please contact your Account Manager or the Delacon Support Team for more info.
Setup
- Compile a draft of locations and their respective termination number. This might be based on different offices you have across the country and the area they operate in.
- Contact your Account Manager or the Delacon Support Team to discuss your requirements in detail. They will be able to advise what is possible and assist with finalising the routing plan.
- Provide Delacon with a final list of all termination numbers and their corresponding operational areas (locations that should route to this number). Also determine a catch-all number, that calls are routed to that did not match any of the defined areas (for example for international caller).
- Delacon will complete the setup in the system
- Testing
