If you are using local numbers for call tracking, callers dialling the number may see the general location of the where the number is located (Town or City) displayed on their phone as they call.
This location information information is not provided by Delacon, and is defined by the mobile provider (Apple/Samsung/Google etc) based on the number itself. For example;
- 02 9999 xxxx would be allocated to Sydney, Australia
- 03 9999 xxxx would be allocated to Melbourne, Australia
Some displayed areas can be broad whereas others more specific, which may cause confusion for your callers if the location they see on the phone screen is not correct for where they expect they are calling, even if the call is correctly connected to your business.
If needed, Delacon can review if a more suitable number is available to replace the number showing the confusing location. Please note that alternate number may not be always available, to confirm please email support@delaconcorp.com
If your caller is using a Samsung phone and is seeing the name of another business (not location) please see here for more information.
