Introduction
Depending on the volume of traffic to your website, you may need a pool of rolling call tracking numbers in order to accurately track visitors. When concurrent visitors browse your site, each visitor will see a different call tracking number picked from the pool allocated to your campaign. The allocated number will follow the visitor around the website. This ensures that Delacon can accurately match the web session data to the correct call.
When the visitor ends their web browsing session, the call tracking number will go back into the pool and will be available again for another web visitor.
How many call tracking numbers do I need for my website?
Delacon has devised a formula to calculate the amount of call tracking numbers you might need based on the traffic to your website. Importantly, you only need to use this formula for the web pages that require call tracking numbers.
To make it easy for you, we have developed a rolling number calculator. Simply complete the fields and the calculator will give you a figure for the minimum and optimal number requirement.
Note, for the number of users, we recommend using the unique pageviews data.
This guide outlines the steps to retrieve the data needed for the calculator from your Google Analytics account.
Feel free to contact your Account Manager or Delacon Support who can help you with assessing your number requirements.
