Delacon's voicemail system can be used to record a message from your customer if they cannot speak to you directly, and is activated under the following circumstances:
- The termination point Delacon is transferring to is Busy (busy tone received).
- The termination point Delacon is transferring to does not answer the call within the defined Transfer Time (no busy tone or answer tone received)
However, if the call is connected to the termination point (answer tone received) at any point, Delacon's voicemail will not be activated. This can occur even without speaking to an operator depending on the type of phone system in use on the termination point.
An easy test to confirm if your termination point is connecting the call automatically is to dial the termination point (not the Delacon number) from a mobile phone and watch the screen. When the call connects the duration timer on the screen will begin to increase, and if you are not speaking to a person (eg you are still hearing a ringtone, music, silence or an audio message) then the call has been connected automatically.
