2. Connecting Delacon to Zapier
Please review the Zapier integration guide that will take you through the steps for connecting your Delacon call data with Zapier.
You will need to complete Steps 1 (Linking Delacon and Zapier) and 2 (Creating a Zap) of that guide. For step 3 (Setting up an Action), please return to this guide to connect your Zap to Hubspot.
3. Connecting Zapier to Hubspot
Step 1
Add HubSpot as an action in Zapier after the Delacon Trigger
Step 2
Select the Action Event appropriate for your business needs. We recommend "Create Contact" or "Create or Update a Contact". Sign in with your Hubspot login details and follow the steps to provide authorisation.
Note, when choosing "Create or Update a Contact", that Hubspot matches contacts based on email address, which will not be available for calls from Delacon. Please review the next step for details.
Step 3
Under the "Configure"-Tab, map the Delacon data fields to the relevant Hubspot contact fields.
You can write into the field for a static value or you can click on the "+" to choose a Delacon data field as a dynamic value.
Since the e-mail field is a required field, please add a placeholder e-mail that can be assigned to the contact for calls from Delacon. This can either be a static value eg delaconcall@companydomain.com.au or a dynamic value using Delacon data fields such as the call ID (call_id) or the caller's phone number (info_caller).
The Delacon call ID is a unique value assigned to each call. If this value is chosen, every call will create a new contact.
If you have selected "Create or Update a Contact" as the action event, please note that Hubspot matches contacts based on email address and not phone number. If you select a static value for the email address field, all calls from Delacon will go to the same contact. If you use a dynamic value based on caller's phone number, any repeat calls from the same caller will be matched against an existing contact as long as the contact has not been updated with a genuine email address.
Step 4
Confirm, skip the test and click Publish
4. Testing and verifying the data
Make a phone call to test the integration is working
Your HubSpot integration is now complete and you will be able to see all call details in your HubSpot account. If you have and further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact Delacon support.
