Introduction
This guide is the continuation from the Salesforce Integration Installation Guide and will take you through the steps for configuring the layouts for Leads, Accounts and Contacts in Salesforce to ensure that Delacon call data is pushed correctly into Salesforce. Please ensure that the integration steps have been completed.
Please Note, the following steps and screenshots are based on the Classic UI of Salesforce. If you are using the Lightening Experience, please switch to Salesforce Classic to be able to follow the steps below.
1. Configuring the Leads Layout
Step 1. Navigate to Lead Page Layout
Click on your name in the top right hand corner and select Setup. Navigate through Customize > Leads and click on Page Layouts. Click on "Edit" against Lead Layout.
Step 2. Add Section to the Lead Layout for Call Tracking Data
In the Lead Layout window, click on the Section tab and drag it to where you would like to see call tracking data.
After dropping the ‘Section’ tab, enter the name "Call Tracking Data" or whatever you would like to call the section and click OK.
Step 3. Add the Call Tracking Fields
Enter PLA (Delacon Call Tracking) into the Quick Find box. When the PLA Fields appear, select all 25 fields by clicking on the one field, holding down shift and clicking on the last field. Then drag the fields into the Call Tracking field section you just created. If you don’t require all fields the Delacon system offers, you can select only the fields relevant to your company.
Save the layout. Verify the call data fields are in place by scrolling down the page.
- For Japanese clients, you will need to change the PLA_State field to have at least 15 characters
- Please make sure you do not remove the Description field from the lead object as this field captured the Delacon Call ID and is vital to the integration working
Replicate these 3 steps for the Account layout and Task layout.
