1. Authorise Delacon to send data to your DoubleClick Campaign Manager account
To start, contact your DoubleClick Account Manager at Google to inform them you wish to enable the Delacon + DoubleClick integration, this may require your formal written authorisation as per below template
-
On behalf of ______________ , I agree that ;
[Delacon] (“DMP”) is authorised to create, edit, and otherwise manage audience data in Your Google Marketing Platform account(s) listed below, including your Display and Video 360 (“DV360”, formerly known as DoubleClick Bid Manager), Campaign Manager (formerly known as DoubleClick Campaign Manager), and Search Ads 360 (“SA360”, formerly known as DoubleClick Search) accounts, subject to the relevant terms governing Your Google Marketing Platform account(s) (“Google Marketing Platform Agreement”) and those contained in this email; and (ii) Google is authorised to provide the DMP with access to Your Google Marketing Platform account(s) so that the DMP may perform the above activities.
Without limiting the generality of any provision in Your Google Marketing Platform Agreement, You acknowledge that any use of audience data in Your Google Marketing Platform account(s) is subject to Google’s Platforms Program Policies.
Please respond to this email with the words “On behalf of my company, I agree” in either the subject line or body of the email to indicate that You have read, understood and agree to the above.
Please note that by sending such a reply you are confirming to Google that you are authorised to provide this consent for the legal entity that is identified as the customer in Your Google Marketing Platform Agreement (such entity being the ‘company’ referred to above).
DV360 Advertiser ID: [ ]
Campaign Manager Advertiser ID: [ ]
------------------------
You should then receive an email confirmation from your DoubleClick Account Manager asking for confirmation to allow Delacon to send data into your account.
At this point in time, you should also email support@delaconcorp.comand your Delacon Account Manager to enable the DCM integration.
2. Grant Delacon user access to post offline conversions to your account
This step will grant Delacon access to onboard offline conversion data into your DoubleClick Campaign Manager account. Permissions will be used to limit Delacon’s ability to only insert conversions via the API.
2.a Create a new user role: Admin >> User roles >> New
- User role name: Delacon Offline Conversions
- Source user role: Advertiser/Reporting Login
- Save
2.b Create a new user profile: Admin >> User profiles >> New
- Email: dcm@delaconcorp.com
- Profile name: Delacon_[Advertiser]
- User role: Delacon Offline Conversions
1. Under Trafficking, enable the following options:
- Floodlight: full access
- User profiles: read-only access
2. Under Reporting, please select All.
3. Save
3. Set up your conversion label mapping and share that with Delacon
Floodlight activities are used in DoubleClick to group conversions by products, product groups, customer types, conversion channels or any other meaningful structure. This enables DoubleClick Campaign Manager reporting to filter advertising campaign conversions.
If your offline conversions goal is to track how your customer interacts with your call center, progresses through an IVR and corresponding sales & leads, your mapping may look like:
DoubleClick Floodlight Activity |
Note: These are only examples. You should discuss the naming conventions with Delacon in advance of setup. |
Phone Call - Support |
|
Phone Call - Sales |
|
Phone Call - Account |
|
Phone Call - Billing |
Note: If you must upload the same conversion into both this Conversions API and the DoubleClick Search API, you should define two different floodlight activities -- one to be populated by the DoubleClick Search API, and one populated by the DoubleClick Conversions API.
3.a Creating the Floodlight activities and custom variables in DoubleClick Campaign Manager
Create new Floodlight activities (conversion tags) for Delacon to push data to DoubleClick. Please note the below ‘activity’ is an example, advertisers can create any name for labels and send to Delacon. See the suggested naming convention below. For each action that you would like to track, you should create a new Floodlight Activity; more specifically, there should be a one-to-one relationship between each IVR option or signal during a call and the DoubleClick Floodlight activity.
There are no restrictions on the minimum/maximum quantity of conversion labels.
1. Advertiser settings >> Floodlight activity groups >> New: “Delacon”
2. Advertiser settings >> Floodlight activities >> +New : “[Insert Name of Floodlight Activity from 3. Above]”*
Without IVR’s

With IVR’s

3.b Creating the Floodlight Custom Floodlight Variables in DoubleClick Campaign Manager
Custom Floodlight variables enable you to capture additional valuable information beyond just a phone call conversion that you collect with standard parameters via the Floodlight tag.
Custom variables use the (case sensitive) keys u1, u2 etc. Please make sure to add user-friendly, simple names to your custom floodlight variables to make these parameters easier to understand and interpret in reports.
The following are available items you can use as custom variables
Custom Variables Name |
Description |
Type of custom variable |
Call Duration Delacon |
Shows a call’s duration in seconds. For example, 120, represents 2 minutes |
String |

Call Duration Tag |
To create or edit a custom variable:
- Prior to commencing this steps please inform Delacon Support and your account manager
- Go to the Delacon Floodlight configuration tab, then click Custom Floodlight variables.
- For each custom variable you want to create or edit, enter a custom variable name above
- Choose string for all the custom variables types.
There are a few considerations for variable values:
- There is no character limit for custom variables, but remember that the length of your variables adds to the total length of the URL in the user's browser. This is important because total URL length is limited in some browsers. For example, Internet Explorer has a maximum URL length of 2,048 characters. If your custom variable is very long, it may make the URL too long.
- String variables do not accept the following characters:
"
,<
,> or #
. - Number variables use a decimal point (.) as a separator, such as 3.5.
- Special characters need to be URL encoded to avoid processing issues.
5. Save.
Search Ads 360 (DoubleClick Search) for Website calls only
Once the above steps are completed, all relevant data flows through to Search Ads 360 by default.
Please see the following steps to find Delacon data within your Search Ads 360:
1. Login to Search Ads 360
2. Select the relevant Agency and Advertiser
3. To enable custom variables, select the following items: Advertiser settings >> Floodlight >> Floodlight activities >> enable all Delacon custom variables
4 . To add existing Delacon floodlight tag, select the following items: Columns >> Custom Conversions >> Floodlight >> + NEW COLUMN >> Select floodlight activities >> search and add Delacon floodlight tags
5 . Within the metric choose Actions
6 . Within the custom dimension filter, you could add a specific custom variable created previously above, example: call duration tag "5mins+" only to show calls above 5 minutes as the conversion

● DoubleClick customers using both APIs should be careful not to upload the same conversion to the same Floodlight Activity via both APIs -- DoubleClick does not support deduplication across APIs.
● If a customer must upload the same conversion into both APIs, we suggest defining two different floodlight activities -- one populated by the DoubleClick Search Event API, and one populated by the DoubleClick Conversions API.
● Ultimately, DoubleClick does anticipate that both APIs will be unified.
● Advertisers cannot specify attribution method on the upload for the DoubleClick Conversions API - this differs a bit from the DoubleClick Search API, where an advertiser can upload a conversion pre-attributed to a specific click and the attribution is joined accordingly. DoubleClick anticipates this feature being enabled in the DoubleClick Conversions API in the future.
2. How do I find the DCM User Profile ID?
In DCM, navigate to: Admin > User Profile. Search for “Delacon”. The Profile ID is next to the name.
Appendix A: Finding your Custom Floodlight Variable Type ID
In the above example, the Floodlight Variable Type for product_group is "u1"
Appendix B: Finding your Floodlight Configuration IDs
Your Floodlight Configuration is your parent Advertiser ID in DCM. In the below example the Floodlight Configuration Id is 4379161.
Appendix C: Finding your Floodlight Activity IDs
Your Floodlight Activity ID is found next to your Floodlight Activity in the Floodlight Activities tab within your Advertiser. In the below example the Floodlight Activity Id is 6098950.
Appendix D: Finding your Profile IDs
Your Profile ID is available under Admin > User Profiles and searching for Delacon. The ID is next to the User Profile. In the below example the Profile Id is 2916029.
