A Click-to-Call button is an interface on a mobile landing page or website, that loads a telephone number directly into the user mobile phone dial pad, once the button is clicked. It saves the caller from typing the number into their phone and simplifies communication with your business.
Delacon's call tracking solution can track all visible as well as invisible numbers that sit behind call buttons. It will look for all instances of the target number that is coded into the source page of the website and replaces it with the assigned tracking numbers.
It can therefore also track call buttons, that do not display a number, but load a telephone number into the dial pad once clicked upon.
Below is an example of a call button that does display the telephone number...
...and its corresponding code in the source page of the website.
Delacon's tracking code will swap out the number within the <a href="tel:xxxxx"> (the call button) as well as within any text that is displayed for this button (in this example "1300 xxx 378"). If the call button does not display any number, the code will just swap out the number in the tel: link to the assigned tracking number, which will then be loaded into the dial pad of any mobile phone, once the call button is clicked.
