Delacon has implemented a new security feature to protect clients who are using an agency to manage their Delacon services. We have extended IP-based restriction to agencies using an Agency ID (AID) to manage multiple Master IDs (MIDs).
Account owners are already able to restrict access to MIDs based on IP address; anyone attempting to log in to an MID from an IP address that is not permitted will not be allowed to access the MID.
We have now extended this security feature to apply to AIDs, which often have access to multiple MIDs. Account owners can now restrict AID access to MIDs based on IP address; this means that if the AID account owner’s passwords are compromised, the MID data will still be secure.
In order for an AID account to access an MID once the new feature is activated, the AID account must have the MID account’s IP address listed in their account, as well as the AID account owners own IP address. Anyone attempting to access the MID data via the AID log in, who is not accessing from a permitted IP address, will see an error message asking them to contact Delacon Support.
If you would like to set up IP restrictions for your account, or want to discuss any other aspects of security, please contact your Account Manager, or email support@delaconcorp.com
